Rome Seymour’s Big Brother 28 journey came to an emotional end when he became the second houseguest evicted after failing to save himself in the BB BlockBuster competition. His exit was one of the season’s biggest storylines. It combined an intense showmance, strategic betrayal, and several bold moves that ultimately painted a target on his back.

Although Rome entered the game as a charismatic competitor with strong social skills, his willingness to trust the wrong people proved costly.

Rome Seymour’s

From the opening days of the season, Rome and Lyric Medeiros became one of the most talked-about couples in the house. Their chemistry was undeniable. Even after the pair briefly pretended to split as part of a strategy to lower their threat level. Instead of convincing the house, however, the fake breakup only fueled more suspicion.

During his live eviction, Rome made a dramatic declaration of love before leaving the house, creating one of the season’s most memorable television moments. In his exit interview, Rome revealed the romantic gesture had been planned!

A planned Ending Goes Off Without A Hitch

Saying there were only two possible endings: “Either I won the Block Buster… or if I was getting kicked out of the house. It was gonna be a big show in front of everybody.” He also shared that Lyric encouraged him to make the gesture, telling him, “I don’t care about the game. If you’re leaving this house, I want everyone to know that you’re mine.”

Ironically, despite their romance, Lyric voted to evict Rome. While initially surprised, Rome later acknowledged that she decided to improve her own chances in the game. The vote demonstrated just how ruthless Big Brother can be! Where personal relationships often take a backseat to strategy.

Rome  Seymour’s Major Downfall

Another major factor in Rome’s downfall was his relationship with returning reality star Rick Devens. Rome believed he was building a genuine alliance with Devens and openly revealed information about his closest allies.

Instead, Devens used that information to orchestrate one of the season’s first major backdoor moves. Looking back, Rome admitted trusting Devens was his biggest mistake. “I am a bad liar,”

Rome explained. “I told my truth. I trusted where I thought my heart was at… I can’t fault Rick Devens for anything he did.” While disappointed, Rome praised Devens’ gameplay and acknowledged that the move was simply good strategy.

Rome still had one final opportunity to survive by winning the BB BlockBuster competition, but the puzzle challenge proved to be his undoing. He later admitted he struggled after realizing he had placed the puzzle pieces incorrectly by matching the wrong colors.

His Fate Was Sealed

By the time he corrected the mistake, Jason had already completed the challenge. Rome said watching Jason finish made him realize his game was likely over, though he was genuinely happy to see one of his closest friends remain safe.

Despite leaving early, Rome made several memorable moves during his time in the house. He quickly established himself as a social leader. He formed one of the season’s biggest showmance, attempted to build relationships across both alliances. And he wasn’t afraid to make aggressive strategic pitches.

Unfortunately, those same moves made him appear dangerous to players like Angela Murray and Rick Devens, who decided it was better to eliminate him before he could gain more power. Had he survived the week, Rome revealed his targets would have been Devens, Dee Valladares, and Angela, with Angela serving as his primary target.

Rome’s Big Brother 28 story may have been brief, but it delivered everything fans love about the game! Romance, betrayal, emotional moments, and bold strategy. While his trust ultimately became his greatest weakness, his willingness to play fearlessly ensured his eviction will be remembered as one of the defining moments of the season.
