Grace Lilly, the charismatic (and often controversial) Southern Hospitality personality, found herself in the spotlight once again — but this time for reasons beyond bar drama and Bravo feuds. In the early hours of December 29, 2025, the 27-year-old reality star was arrested in Charleston, South Carolina.

She was arrested on a second-degree harassment charge after a routine traffic stop at a local gas station. Law enforcement pulled her over for an allegedly illegal lane change and because of an active warrant for her arrest, which ultimately led to her being taken into custody around 1:40 a.m. local time.

What made the situation more complicated, and more tabloid-worthy, was what police discovered next. In Lilly’s purse, officers found a container labelled “Happy Pills,”!  Which held 12 small white pills with a ‘P’ imprint and half of an unidentified blue pill. According to the police report, Lilly claimed the blue pill was Xanax (for which she said she had a prescription, though she could not produce proof)!

And the white pills were birth control, though she did not know the brand and had no packaging to verify her account. These pills were confiscated and submitted for testing. This discovery has led to a potential drug/narcotics violation. Along with her harassment charge.

Arrest Sparked New Implications

Lilly was detained overnight and released the following afternoon. But the implications of the arrest have rippled through social media and fandoms. For fans of Southern Hospitality (a Southern Charm spinoff) that debuted in 2022. The show follows the staff at Leva Bonaparte’s Republic Lounge & Garden.

Lilly has been a polarizing figure since the first season.

Known for her glamorous look, outspoken personality, and tendency to stir conflict among her coworkers. She quickly became one of the show’s most talked-about cast members.

This had many followers commenting that she looked “unbothered and free”. Despite her  new legal troubles. This move fueled further debate about her public persona and priorities.

Some fans dissected her past, noting that Lilly has had moments of personal turbulence on and off screen This included past interpersonal drama with coworkers. As well as questions about her lifestyle choices throughout the series.
