Big Brother July 26 Recap: New HOH Takes Control as the BB Time Capsule Twist Shakes Up the House.
Sunday night’s episode of Big Brother picked up right after Rome’s eviction, with the remaining houseguests immediately turning their attention to the next Head of Household competition. Before the game even began, there was plenty of strategy talk. Several players discussed how the house had become divided, while members of the majority alliance worked to make sure they stayed on the same page.
Big Brother
Jason continued trying to rebuild trust after the previous week’s drama, while Lyric knew she was in serious danger without Rome in the game. There was also lingering tension between several houseguests after the explosive arguments from the prior nomination ceremony, although everyone tried to keep emotions under control with a new week beginning.
Head of Household
The Head of Household competition featured a wrestling theme and welcomed back fan favorite Jessie Godderz, better known as Mister Pectacular, as the special guest host. The players watched a wrestling performance and then answered questions about what they had just seen, testing both their observation skills and memory.
The competition stayed close for several rounds before Kamu outlasted the rest of the field to become the new Head of Household. Several players remained in contention until the final questions, but Kamu answered the deciding question correctly to secure power for the week. His victory gave the majority alliance another important week of control and immediately shifted the strategic conversations throughout the house.
BB Time Capsule
After the competition, the episode revealed the latest BB Time Capsule results. America had voted to unleash another game-changing twist. The biggest reveal was that Rick Devens received the Diamond Power of Veto, a powerful advantage that could dramatically change the course of the game if he chooses to use it.
The houseguests quickly realized this new power could affect everyone’s plans, and several conversations focused on whether anyone should target Devens before he could take advantage of his new ability. Others quietly celebrated that the power landed in the hands of someone working with their side of the house.
Kamu
With his Head of Household room open, Kamu spent time meeting individually with several houseguests. He explained that he wanted to protect his closest allies while targeting players he believed could unite the outsiders against him later in the game. Lyric’s name came up repeatedly because of her close relationship with Rome, while Lala and Mallory were also viewed as players who could become dangerous if they stayed off the block much longer. Houseguests continued comparing notes and trying to determine whether Kamu was telling everyone the truth or simply saying what each person wanted to hear.
The episode concluded with the nomination ceremony. Kamu officially nominated Lyric, Lala, and Mallory for eviction. He explained that Lyric remained a strong competitor with important connections. While Lala and Mallory were nominated because they were outside his closest circle. They represented potential threats to his alliance moving forward. Although the nominations were made calmly. It was clear that the week was only beginning. And that the new Time Capsule power could completely reshape the game before eviction night.
