Whitney Leavitt: TikTok Star To Reality TV to Broadway And Now Lead In A Holiday Rom Com.

Whitney Leavitt started her career as a TikToker who was part of a group of women under the hashtag brand name Mom Tok. Hulu picked up the ladies of MOM Tok and made them Reality TV Stars on Hulu with an original series, “Secret Lives Of Mormon Housewives” (SLOMW). Most people who watch Reality TV know that producers and directors edit their shows to create the most drama for viewers. In the first season of SLOMW, Whitney was portrayed as a villain. Her only comment about being the villain was, ”villains get paid, too.”

We learned in Season 1 that Whitney Leavitt left MomTok and moved with her husband and kids to Hawaii to concentrate on her family life. It was shown that this move was made after Whitney discovered her husband, Connor, had a porn addiction. The Leavitts went back to Utah. Whitney spent the rest of season 1 and all of Season 2 trying to get back into MomTok. In Season 2, Whitney was voted back in, but she did not feel welcomed. She, in turn, left again. Found out if she filmed Season 3, she could try out to be a celebrity dancer on Dancing With The Stars(DWTS).

Whitney went to college at BYU where she majored in modern dance. She told viewers she always wanted to be on DWTS. She watched the show with her mom. Whitney tried out and was asked to be part of DWTS34.

When Season 3 aired, many DWTS fans watched to learn a bit more about the 2 SLOMW stars. Many went on social media denouncing Whitney, and they encouraged others not to vote for Whitney each week. Whitney was eliminated during the semi-final. She did not dance up to her usual standards. From the start of the season, Whitney and her pro dancer, Mark Ballas, scored high each week. The pair were considered early front-runners for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. When Whitney needed votes the most, she did not get them.

Fans were upset that they would not get to see Mark Ballas choreograph a freestyle dance that he always performed in the finale. The podcast Call Her Daddy wanted those fans to see that freestyle. The podcast worked with ABC to make the freestyle dance available to fans. The dance aired after the finale, but it was filmed the day before the finale. For this writer, who has been a fan of SLOMW, the freestyle was amazing. You see that Whitney left it all on the dance floor.

Many fans felt that this was a slap on the face to the finalists in DWTS34. Whitney and Mark were there at the finale, along with the other eliminated pairs. Whitney congratulated Robert Irwin emphatically when it was announced he had won.

Fans commented that Whitney should try out for Broadway. The comments came after her Argentine Tango in Week 9. Performed to the song Cell Block B from the musical Chicago. People reported, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives”, the star is adding lead actress and executive producer to her rapidly expanding Hollywood resume. Leavitt is starring in an upcoming holiday movie, due out next year. Whitney is starring opposite Jesse Kove. Set for a holiday 2026 release. “All For Love” centers on Leavitt’s character Winona. A popular young podcaster who is tasked with trying to find love on the internet.
