andTraitors US Season 5…Want To Play?

The hit Peacock streaming show, Traitors, is gearing up to film Season 5. However, Season 5 is not going to be all Reality TV celebrities.

At the end of the current Season 4’s 2nd episode, host Allen Cummings asks viewers if they think they have what it takes to play the game. He informs the viewers that if they think they’re up to it, they can apply for the upcoming season.

Traitors

However, to apply, you must be over 21 and have a valid passport. However, here are a few rules contestants won’t learn until they are in Scotland. According to PEOPLE, “communicating with one another when cameras are down, or even connecting with people outside of the show. In post-production, the players must keep all details tight-lipped — or they might be booted off.”

“In each episode of the show, cameras follow the contestants as they seemingly get into bed in identical, Gothic-style rooms in the castle. However, the shot is deceiving: the competitors actually sleep in a hotel 45 minutes away from set.”

“Contestants are often shown with a glass (or goblet) in hand; they are limited to only one drink per evening.”

“Not only are the contestants not allowed to sleep in the castle, but they also have a limited number of spaces they can explore in the rented-out space.”

“Each night, the Traitors convene to decide who they’ll eliminate from the show next — but it’s an ordeal to make sure the other Faithfuls don’t see them slipping away to do so. It’s a massive military operation each night to get the Faithful to bed in individual rooms and get the Traitors back out to have their meeting.”

After a day of filming, cast members were no longer allowed to discuss any aspect of the game…You’re not supposed to talk about the game when the mics aren’t ready, or the cameras aren’t on, because if we say something important and it’s not on camera, they can’t use it on the show.

Upon arrival in Scotland

Upon arrival in Scotland, production takes many of the cast members’ personal belongings from them, including their phones and passports…they take your chargers, your watch, your passport, your wallet, your money.

Before they arrive in Scotland, contestants aren’t privy to who else will be on their season to ensure they are going in completely blind.” This also keeps the contestants from trying to research their competition.

Within their contract, contestants must agree not to promote any of their personal brands.

“Ahead of taping, casting directors and producers administer personality tests to the potential candidates to determine whether their characters make them a good fit for the show and, more importantly, who can handle being a Traitor.” Producer Mike Cotton informed Variety,” We see attributes that might make someone a good liar or particularly deceptive.”

Mike Cotton also disclosed to Variety,”[those that are chosen to be] Traitors have to take an oath to officially become Traitors: “The Traitors take an oath with Alan, where they promise to murder every night and they promise to keep the identity of their fellow Traitors a secret.”

The Traitors’ oath states that they have to keep the identity of their fellow Traitors a secret. They are allowed to accuse them of being a Traitor at the roundtable. As long as they don’t reveal their own identity as a Traitor.” When 1 Traitor is eliminated,” one of them is eliminated, you might think they’d be tempted to reveal their fellow Traitors in their exit speech. But, nope, obviously that’s not allowed.

Contestants

Mike Cotton also revealed that contestants are required to sign a lot of paperwork. The Traitors sign their own oath and agreement with us.

Each season, the group does not know the exact number of Traitors there are to be. Cirie Fields from Season 1 divulged to US Weekly,” We knew that there could potentially be three to five Traitors in the game.”

Contestants don’t get to choose if they get to be Traitors or Faithfuls. They can advocate in their application and in person to host Allen Cummings. Explaining why they would make a good Faithful or Traitor.

You’ll need to be able to abide by these rules. Some rules may not been disclosed as of yet.

According to US Weekly, production for Season 5 will begin in May 2026. I know a few people I think would do well on this show. I hope to see at least one of my friends next season.
