The Big Brother House Just Got A Whole Lot Messier!

Well, that escalated quickly. Wednesday night’s Big Brother episode picked up right where Sunday left us, with Drew, Taylor, and LaLa on the block and the house still trying to figure out exactly who was telling the truth about the plans to target the Icons. And honestly, I’m not sure anybody came out of that argument looking particularly good.

The Drew and Taylor/LaLa fight just kept going, with everybody insisting they were telling the truth while also conveniently leaving out the parts that made them look bad. Drew basically decided that if he was going down, he was taking everybody’s secrets with him. “The Drewth,” as he called it, actually worked out pretty well for him because Dee’s attention started shifting away from Drew and toward Taylor.

LaLa wasn’t about to just sit there and take it, though. She went into serious damage-control mode, especially with Angela, while Taylor admitted she had intentionally gone to the shower because she knew the conversation was about to turn into something. I actually liked that little bit of strategy from Taylor. She knew drama was coming and let everybody else blow up their own games.

Then came the Power of Veto, and this was a fun one. The houseguests traveled back to 1982 for an absolutely ridiculous ’80s workout competition called “Feel the Burn.” They had to complete different exercises, with the player doing the fewest reps getting eliminated each round. It was exactly the kind of goofy Big Brother competition I love.

Drew and Angela went out first, followed by Dee and then Barrett. That left Taylor, LaLa and Barrett battling it out, and LaLa pulled off the win. She had exactly the result she needed and immediately took herself off the block.

And that is where Dee made her biggest move of the week.

Instead of putting up Yash or Haley, Dee went after Mallory. The decision basically blew up what was left of the Mosh Pit. Mallory was furious, Melody was furious, and even Barrett was questioning why the alliance was suddenly protecting Yash and Haley while putting one of their own on the block.

I can’t blame Mallory for being angry. She even admitted she could have beaten Dee in the HOH competition if she hadn’t thrown it. Ouch. That may be one of those Big Brother lessons you only have to learn once: never throw a competition unless you are absolutely sure you don’t need the power.

Player of the Week: LaLa. Winning the veto when she absolutely needed it was huge, and she managed to save herself while completely changing the direction of the week.

Oops of the Week: Mallory. Throwing that HOH competition is looking like a pretty painful decision right about now.

Now we head into the 1,000th episode with Mallory and Taylor facing off in the BB Blockbuster. After all this chaos, I honestly have no idea who is going home — and that’s exactly how I like my Big Brother.
