Survivors Get Ready For The Greatest Hunt Ever
To celebrate an unprecedented milestone — its 50th season — Survivor isn’t just staying on a tropical island this year. Instead, CBS and longtime host Jeff Probst have taken the competition nationwide with the Survivor 50 Challenge. A real-world scavenger hunt that hides authentic immunity idols in all 50 U.S. states.
Survivors
Rather than watching castaways dig around beaches for hidden advantages! Now, every day, fans can live a bit of that dream right in their own communities. How by solving clues, cracking riddles, and searching for physical idols that could lead to unforgettable prizes.
Kicking off on January 30, 2026, the Challenge transforms the entire country into an immersive game. Beginning with clues that will be released through the official Survivor 50 Digital Hub and Survivor50Challenge.com. Here, participants must first register to receive alerts when clues are dropped in their state and to stay updated on rules, locations, and rewards.
How To Play
The rules are simple in concept but strategic in spirit: registered players will access multi-week clues that point to a physical hiding spot in their state. When a participant believes they have located the hidden immunity idol, they must take a photo of themselves with the idol and submit it through the Digital Hub.
This photo submission officially enters them into a random drawing for that state’s prize. According to the official rules document, each state has its own time window and specific participation period, and you must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where applicable) to compete.
Jeff Probst has been front and center, explaining the ethos behind this bold experiment and emphasizing that Survivor isn’t just a television show, but a lived experience.
In promotional comments, he said, “For the first time, we are taking Survivor across America. We’ve hidden immunity idols — 50 of them — one in every state. Your job: solve the clues, find the idol for a shot at an unbelievable prize.”
Rules Are Explained
Later adding, “Survivor has always been about testing yourself . From solving problems, facing the unknown and finding out what you’re made of ! Now its the fan’s turn.
For those who’ve ever shouted at their TV during a tribal council or wondered what it would be like to uncover a hidden advantage, this might be the closest you’ll get outside of Fiji.
