Race Report: “The System Hacked Meâ€. Leg 6 of The Amazing Race Season 38.

Race

Episode 6 of The Amazing Race Season 38, titled “The System Hacked Meâ€, aired on October 29, 2025, and sent the remaining teams racing through picturesque Croatia. The leg began in the historic city of Dubrovnik, with the teams driving themselves to the lush Trsteno Arboretum to find their first clue at the Neptune fountain.

The Detour was a choice between two tasks: “Bag It Up†or “Pull It Up.†In Bag It Up, teams had to load a wheelbarrow with salt, fill ten bags with about 20-21 pounds each, then deliver them to a shipping area for their next clue. In Pull It Up, teams rowed a boat into Mali Ston Bay, pulled up three oyster buoys, and delivered the oysters to a restaurant to get their next clue.

After the Detour, the clue led teams on to Park Komarda for a short check-in before the Roadblock. The Roadblock required one team member to study a raised-relief map of Ston, identify three checky-shield symbols on the map, each associated with facts about Croatia, and then answer three questions correctly to receive the next clue. Any mistake forced that racer to restart the questions.

Pit Stop

As the teams raced toward the Pit Stop at Prapratno Cove, the alliance dynamics proved central to this leg’s drama. Early in the season, a “train-wreck†alliance among teams, most notably the brothers Jas & Jag Bains, the brothers Joseph & Adam Abdin, and the sisters Natalie & Stephanie Negrotti, had dominated the field, trading directions and helping each other with tasks. But in this leg, tensions bubbled over: according to a preview, one team reconsidered their alliance as the competitive stakes got higher, and one team’s Roadblock strategy collapsed under pressure.

In the end, the finished order:

First place went to Tucker & Eric, giving them their third leg victory in a row.

Second place was claimed by Jas & Jag Bains.

Third went to Kyland & Taylor, who made a strong push this leg.

The team eliminated at the Pit Stop was the sisters, Kristine & Rubina Bernabe. They arrived last and were eliminated from the race at the end of the leg.

Jas & Jag are complaining about having to drive stick-shift cars (they typically drive much larger trucks in their regular lives). They’re getting off to a rough start. Meanwhile, Kyland & Taylor struggled rowing in the Pull It Up option, which delayed them. Tucker & Eric breezed through the Bag It Up option and built an early lead. On the Roadblock, Eric initially answered most questions correctly. He flubbed on the last one and had to restart, allowing others to close in briefly.

Alliance

In alliance news, the preview of the leg strongly suggested the alliance might be fracturing. Insider commentary questioned whether the dominant partnership would hold now that the teams are clearly threats to each other. This leg marked a turning point. The racing field tightened and the elimination clock approached, the helper-vs-rival dynamic began to shift.

This was a thrilling leg through Croatia. Combining heavy physical work (salt-bagging or oyster retrieval) with mental precision (map-questions in the Roadblock). Underscoring that even the strongest scrambles can be “hacked†by missteps or alliances unraveling.
