Sunday night’s episode of Big Brother 28 kicked off a new week with a new HOH, but the power in the house stayed firmly in familiar hands. After Jason’s eviction, the remaining houseguests competed for the chance to take control, and Haley came away with the win. Her victory marked yet another week in which the same side of the house held the power, leaving the players on the outside looking for a way to finally change the direction of the game.
The Head of Household competition continued the season’s Time Trip theme by sending the houseguests back to 1888. The challenge had a spooky, mystery-like atmosphere as the players listened carefully to clues and tried to remember which room would keep them safe. It was a competition that required concentration and a strong memory, and Haley proved she had both. Her victory gave her the HOH room, the power to make nominations, and an opportunity to show the rest of the house exactly how she intended to run her week.

However, Haley’s HOH reveal quickly became one of the most memorable moments of the episode. As the houseguests gathered upstairs to admire her new room, enjoy her snacks, listen to her music, and check out all the usual HOH goodies, Haley made an announcement that left everyone with plenty to think about. She essentially told the group that anyone who had been talking negatively about her should not expect to continue enjoying the benefits of her HOH room. If they wanted to criticize her behind her back, they could not turn around and expect to use her shower, eat her snacks, or relax upstairs while listening to her music!

It was not exactly an argument, but it was definitely a public callout. Haley made her feelings clear without naming names, and the timing made the speech even more awkward because everyone was standing right there in her room. Some houseguests may have appreciated her honesty, while others were probably wondering whether the message was aimed directly at them. Either way, Haley made sure everyone understood that her HOH room was not going to be a free-for-all for people she believed were working against her.
The strategy portion of the episode brought even more tension. When it was time to make nominations, Haley placed Taylor, Melody, and Drew on the block. The choices immediately revealed that this HOH was not going to be a simple week. With alliances becoming more visible and trust growing harder to maintain, each nominee had reasons to worry about where they truly stood in the house.
We also learned that Survivor icon Dee Valladares had been selected by America for the next BB Time Capsule challenge. After Angela’s punishment during the first Time Capsule challenge, everyone had to be wondering whether Dee would receive a power or suffer a consequence instead. The twist continues to add an unpredictable element to the season, especially because the outcome could affect the game in ways the houseguests do not anticipate.

Player of the Episode: Haley. She won HOH, took control of the week, and made it clear that she planned to run her room–and her reign–on her own terms.
Oops Award: Anyone Who Had Been Talking About Haley! After that speech, they may want to bring their own snacks and find another shower!
With three nominees on the block, a new BB Time Capsule challenge ahead, and Haley refusing to let anyone take advantage of her HOH, Week Four is already shaping up to be anything but quiet. One thing is certain: Haley’s house, Haley’s rules!
