Big Brother 27: Pick Your Poison
Tonight’s episode of Big Brother 27 served up everything Big Brother fans can’t resist: high-stakes gameplay, surprise competition twists, and houseguests scrambling to safeguard their spot as the jury looms just around the corner. The show immediately zoomed in on the aftermath of last week’s nominations—Vince as Head of Household had placed Ava, Kelley, and Mickey on the block. With the BB Blockbuster twist, the suspense is building over who might flip the script in the POV competition.
Pick Your Poison
The Power of Veto competition, dubbed the “pick-your-poison†Veto. CBS rolled footage of houseguests facing off in a game of literal poison roulette: each player had to choose drinks—some safe, others “poisoned.†Picking poison twice meant elimination from the comp, and the last Houseguest standing would claim the Veto. It was chaotic, dramatic, and beautifully in line with the season’s Hotel Mystère aesthetic. The poisoned wine would foam in the houseguest’s mouth, giving the poisoning effect.
Mickey, Ava, Kelley, Vince, Keanu, and Will went drink for drink in elimination rounds. One by one, they were “poisoned outâ€: Ava was knocked out first, followed by Kelley, Keanu, and Will as the rounds wore on. As the houseguests were poisoned, they would collapse to the ground and remain there until the competition was over. In the end, it came down to Mickey versus Vince—and Mickey survived, earning the golden Veto. Her win saved her from the block this week.
With the Veto in hand
With the Veto in hand, Mickey turned the tables. At the Veto Ceremony, she used it on herself for a replacement nominee, shifting the entire week’s dynamics, as she was the initial target. Vince had to name a replacement nominee. Many houseguests tried to convince him to nominate Rachel. In the end, Vince decided to stay true to The Judges’ alliance and named Katherine as the replacement nominee.
By the end of the show, the vibe was unmistakable: Big Brother magic in full effect. Mickey was safe, Vince’s grip weakened, and Ava and Kelley were left holding increasingly fragile positions. The poison-themed Veto set the tone—only the cunning will survive. Now, with the jury’s arrival around the corner, every promise, whisper, and alliance matters more than ever.
This week’s eviction is sure to be an interesting one. Will Katherine meet the showmance demise? Or will Kelley or Ava see Julie? Tune in tomorrow night to find out!
