Love Is Blind Canada: Netflix Opens Casting for Canadian Singles

Love Is Blind Is Coming to Canada—and Singles Are Already Casting Their Hearts
Canada, get ready to enter the pods! Netflix’s wildly popular dating experiment Love Is Blind is officially expanding the franchise north of the border!

And the first major step is already underway: casting is open for Canadian singles hoping to find love without ever seeing the person on the other side of the wall. Insight Productions is producing the Canadian edition, but plenty of details remain under wraps.

For now, no hosts have been officially named, and no Canadian city has been announced as the filming location. That has already sent fans into speculation mode, with Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and other Canadian cities being tossed around as possibilities.

LIB Has Cast Its Net!

The casting call itself is the clearest sign yet that the series is moving forward. By inviting eligible Canadian singles to take the ultimate romantic leap.  Getting engaged before meeting face-to-face.

The original Love Is Blind debuted in the United States in 2020, quickly becoming one of Netflix’s biggest reality-TV experiments.

Created by Chris Coelen, the concept was simple but deliciously dramatic. Singles entered specially designed “pods,” where they could talk to potential partners without seeing them. If the emotional connection became strong enough, a proposal could follow before the couple ever laid eyes on one another.

Once they finally met, the couples were thrown into vacations, living together, family meetings and, ultimately, a wedding-day decision. The format proved so successful that Netflix expanded it internationally, including versions in Japan, Brazil, Sweden, Mexico, the United Kingdom and other markets.

Some Couples Have Proven Love Can Be Blind

And while the show has produced its share of breakups, chaos and “I do not!” moments, there really have been lasting love stories. Season 1 favorites Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton remain one of the franchise’s ultimate success stories. They have continued their relationship publicly.

They have built a life together and welcomed their first child, Ezra, in 2025. Fellow Season 1 couple Amber Pike and Matt Barnett are also still married and welcomed their first daughter in 2025.

Season 4 produced several more success stories. Brett Brown and Tiffany Pennywell, Kwame Appiah and Chelsea Griffin, and Zack Goytowski and Bliss Poureetezadi all made it beyond the pods and weddings.

Zack and Bliss have since become parents to a daughter, while the couples have remained part of the wider Love Is Blind family. Season 6’s Amy Cortés and Johnny McIntyre also remain happily married, proving that occasionally the pod experiment really does work.
