Kacie McIntosh was one of the hopefuls looking for love in the pods. Love Is Blind dropped its ninth season of the Netflix hit series. On Saturday, October 3rd, 2025, she took to her social media account, Instagram, to address messages she had received since the show aired.

Her strongest connection was with Patrick Suzuki.

Patrick, for his part, developed strong feelings for another contestant, Anna Yuan. She decided to leave the pods early. Patrick decided to work on his connection with his number two Kacie.

The couple connected on an emotional level before meeting in person. Those unfamiliar with how Love Is Blind works. Singles enter the pods to build an emotional and/or spiritual connection, sight unseen.

Patrick expressed concern about his insecurities about his race. He told McIntosh that he had faced rejection in the past due to this. She assured him his race was not a factor for her. The duo became engaged.

However, her tune changed once they had met! Just before they were set to join the other couples in Mexico, Kacie had a change of heart. She asked to meet Patrick at the hotel. This is rarely done on the show.

During this meeting, through tears, she confessed her love for him, and with lots of love pecks on his cheek. Kacie stated she didn’t want to go to Mexico but wanted to go home.

The Tears And Drama Begins

45 minutes before the meeting with Patrick took place, McIntosh told producers, “I just, unfortunately, don’t think my attraction to him is going to grow that much.” This created outrage among fans of the show.

On her Instagram story, she wrote, ” I understand I have made mistakes during my time on LIB. However, there is far more to the heavily edited story than what is being aired, and I hope I can share my side soon.”

She ended the post admitting something scary!! Kacie was receiving death threats!! She asked people to stop. As well as for fans to leave her family and friends alone, as they didn’t sign up for the show.

Patrick also made an Instagram post where he asked fans “to take it easy on Anna and Kacie, and all the cast members. I don’t condone hate in any capacity.” With the remaining couples set to hopefully walk down the aisle, his post hints at more drama heading the fans’ way.
