.Reboot for “Murder, She Wrote,” The CBS show that was a symbol of what a family-friendly crime show should be. It is getting a modern reset. The show will once again grace screens, but it has not been determined if it will be the big screen or the small screen. All we do know is that filming is going to commence soon, and that Jamie Lee Curtis is taking on the quintessential role of Jessica ‘JB’ Fletcher that was once played by the distinguished Angela Lansbury.

Most people associate Angela with the animated movie ‘Beauty And The Beast the voice of Mrs. Potts. For me, she was Miss Price in the movie Bedknobs and Broomsticks. For those a recap, Murder She Wrote aired for 12 seasons on CBS from 1984 to 1996. Its prime time slot was 8 PM on Sunday nights.

Mrs. Lansbury described to 60 Minutes the character of Mrs. Fletcher as†She’s a feisty broad, much more so than I am. She’s nosey, perceptive, and athletic. Mrs. Lansbury wasn’t a prude. She was outgoing, private. She was everything.†On July 23, Jamie Lee Curtis was asked about the Murder She Wrote project by Entertainment Tonight. She exclaimed, “Oh, it’s happening. We’re a minute away. But very excited. Very excited,z“But I’m tamping down my enthusiasm until we start shooting. I have a couple of other things to hustle and then I’ll get to enjoy that work.â€

Sounds like Jamie Lee Curtis is chomping at the bit to enter into the fictional town of Cabot Cove, Maine. We have no information on who will portray the roles of the recurring characters who were in Cabot Cove, but were dear friends to Mrs. Fletcher.

Those dear friends are Dr. Seth Hazlitt. Will Sheriff Metzger or Jessica venture to Boston to assist her dear friend, Harry McGraw? Will her nephew, Grady Fletcher, show up on her doorstep and ask her for help to get out of a sticky situation he has found himself in? Jessica has traveled the world, and she always finds a mystery to solve.
