Steve Harvey arrested at the Border!

Comedian and Family Feud Host Harvey shares his experience with his audience when he tries to cross the Canadian Border. Cedric The Entertainer and he were headlining at the Arco Arena in Buffalo New York.

During the taping of his hit game show The Family Feud, he decided to entertain his audience with his adventure into Canada.

He says  “It was a whole situation!!! Arrested at the border with my friend Ced.” Asking the audience “Have you ever had a travel mishap that made you question everything.” After finishing up their last set of the night the duo decide to saunter over to Canada to gamble.

Steve and Cedric were in their limo when stopped by the Border Patrol and asked who they were. They were taken inside for questioning and a background check. Admitting that in their pink entertainment suits, they look like pimps or drug dealers.

As most travelers know you are only allowed to bring in a certain amount of cash with you when you cross into a foreign country. Admittedly  they both had a large amount of money on them.  They were going to gamble at a Canadian Casino.

Steve Harvey Has Large Sum Of Money

After the Border Patrol found a large amount of money a more extensive search takes place. The linings of their coats are torn open. The limo has $12,000 worth of damage done to it. Travelers know Border Patrol on either side of the border do not reimburse for damages.

The extensive background checks continued while Steve and Ced are detained for seven hours. It should be noted NO Drugs were found on them or in the limo. When another Officer reports to work he recognized the duo.

Surprised to see the famous duo in the secondary holding at the border, the officer shouted their names. The Officer first talks to his co-workers, he tells them who Steve and Cedric were. He asks them, “Man, y’all, I love y’all. The Steve Harvey Show! Whatcha all doin’ in here?”

Harvey told his audience I yelled “Thank you, Jesus” once he realized that he would be set free. Joking with the Officer he said: “We finna go to jail.” The Border Patrol Officers apologized, setting the men free. “They were wrong. I know that” Harvey stated.

The moral of the story: Famous or Not, have your passport with you if you think you might cross into a foreign country. Your driver’s license will not do it anymore.
