The most successful dating series on the streaming service has been ‘Love Is Blind’. With the US series just finishing its seventh season, the series has become an international hit. We now have series from Japan, The UK, Argentina, Sweden, Brazil and France.

This series will feature 6 baby boomers as they try to navigate the dating scene after years of being single. Because sometimes life comes first, most haven’t dated in over a decade, choosing instead to focus on family and/or their careers.

The Later Daters Will Receive Help

Ury will help the cast set realistic goals, break through emotional barriers and hopefully find love again. Michelle Obama, executive producer, hopes to shine a light on a generation that rarely gets screen time on the streaming service.

On the surface it sounds like any other dating show. But unlike them it is more of a documentary than a competition show. Netflix won’t be sending these seniors to a mansion, nor excluding their children and friends. Their families will heavily influence the season.

The series will feature cast members in their 50’s, 60’s and 70’s who are looking for love a second, third or fourth time. The participants are as follows: Nate ( 56), Lori (57) , Anise Masten (62), Pam (71), Greg (61) and Suzanne (63).

Some are divorced, separated or widowed.

Because some have not dated in decades leaving the series to help them navigate the dating world via the internet. The internet was not around when some of these participants last dated. And some will need help to get out of their own way.

This series is from Higher Ground Production, which was founded by Michelle and Barack Obama. The series aligns with Higher Grounds mission statement of telling the stories of some of the most underrepresented voices.

The series premieres on Friday November 29th on Netflix.
