Rules houseguests must follow to enter the BB house
With the crowning of our most recent winner; we thought it would be fun to look at some of the rules the hopeful houseguests must agree to follow.
Rules
Houseguests must agree to undergo a psychological evaluation and a short IQ test. Once these two tests are complete the pool of hopeful contestants is cut in half.
They are then flown to Los Angeles where they submit to several in-person interviews. For some their journey ends there.
Houseguests are tested for STDs. Although the producers do not encourage sexual contact between the houseguests, it may happen from time to time.
Having an outgoing personality will help you get into the Big Brother House. Being adaptable to all situations will help as well.
You must sign a contract that gives the producers the right to cast you as they see fit. This means if you have a blow up with another houseguest the whole event may not be aired.
Houseguests must agree to have their belongings searched before entering the house. Fans know certain things like t-shirts with certain logos are prohibited.
The interaction with production is limited. Allison Grodner ( executive producer) stated “They only hear our voices through a wall in the DR.”
Part of their contract includes post eviction interviews. CBS selects what outlets and podcasts are acceptable and have access to the houseguests.
They must agree to wearing a microphone and being on camera 24/7 while in the house.
Houseguests can not threaten or harm another houseguest. The ‘No Violence Policy’ is strictly enforced. This includes unnecessary bullying.
Another part of said contract includes a clause where past houseguests are limited to what they can discuss about their time in the house. This can be anywhere from 1 to 3 years.
These are just some of the rules future houseguests must agree with to appear on Big Brother. Big Brother airs on CBS, Paramount Plus and Pluto TV.
