Vanderpump Rules: Jo Wenberg Sheds Some Light on Her Castmates
The lives of celebrities are constantly under scrutiny. This is especially true for the stars of “Vanderpump Rules,” a popular show that follows the lives of employees at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant, SUR. Recently, one of the show’s stars, Tom Schwartz, made headlines when his alleged fling, Jo Wenberg, decided to make her social media public.
Jo Wenberg decided to make her social media public and took to her Instagram and explained a few things that needed to be said.
This was Jo’s first season on Vanderpump Rules and was added to the show as Tom Schwartz’s friend. She posted a photo of herself and captioned it with,”I’m going public with my Instagram tonight. I hope you guys will all be kind to me. I haven’t gotten the nicest stuff on any type of platform. But I wanted just to make sure that you guys could [see] just me with no makeup or filter. This is who I am.” Jo also spoke about what it was like to film season 11 and what it did for her. She continued her post with, “I did film this season of Vanderpump Rules, and it was a very big, eye-opening experience. I am usually behind the camera, and being in front of the camera was very hard for me. But I will say the producers were really awesome.”
During season 10 Jo’s name was dropped a lot especially after Tom divorced Katie Maloney. They broke up in March 2022, months before season 11 was to be filmed. Viewers of the show watched as Tom explored the dating scene which included him hooking up with Raquel Leviss at Scheana Shay and Brock Davies’ wedding. It seems that Tom had become quite close with Jo and their relationship was spoken about in many of of the unaired scenes from season 10. Then in March News broke about Tom Sandoval having an affair with Raquel Leviss. Fans started to question whether Tom Schwartz was the cause for infidelity.
When the reunion show aired Tom Schwartz spoke about his brief encounter with Raquel and also spoke about his relationship with Jo. Tom said, “No, [Jo] wasn’t [my girlfriend]. Especially not at that point. It did evolve into a situationship or a friends with benefits thing with clearly defined boundaries. We were both coming out of long-term relationships and for a minute there, we were each other’s happy places.” Katie on the other hand had a few things to say about Jo on her social media back in February. She had taken to her Instagram and said, “Jo is spooky. I mean none of us could stand to be around her. Her energy is on par with a crackhead. But when Tom and I announced our divorce almost a year ago the last thing she text[ed] me was, ‘I love you, and I’m so supporting of your inner thoughts and visions / live in the moment, you’re a gem and I’ve always respected you. I love you. Xo Jo.’ She is a psycho and I will also light her on fire.”
Once season 11 had started filming Jo was seen a few times with Schwartz and Sandoval. Katie had a lot to say about all that in July when a photo was posted of Schwartz, Sandoval, James Kenedy, and Ally Lewber. On a Bravo fan’s account Katie wrote this, “I can feel that energy from here. Yikes.” Jo on the other hand gave praises to LaLa Kent for being kind and welcoming to her. Jo said during the Monday uploads, “I also will say that Lala [Kent] was so nice to me. She gave me grace. which made her “feel at ease” and I didn’t even really know her and I thought that was such a sweet thing. We don’t even follow each other on Instagram and we don’t have each other’s phone numbers. But I wanted to give a shout-out about her because she was so sweet.”
Jo addressed Scandoval’s drama and said her friend Tom Schwartz was “awesome.” Jo goes on and addresses the scandal with, “That doesn’t make any sense [what I just tried to say]. This is probably why people think I am a crackhead. I just really suck at talking. I’m not a crackhead, can we just make it clear? I’ve never done it in my life. There are always moments in your life where you find certain people and you start to care about them. And one of those people is Raquel. And I am also allowed to care about Sandoval as well. I’m very, very proud of both of them individually, and that is all I will say.” This was in reference to what Katie had said about her.
During the recent Bravo Con which Jo did not attend was excited to speak about her experience on the show she said, “I’m really afraid of actually pulling the plug and going public. The reason I am doing this is because I don’t think it will harm me. At this point, you guys will see the season and I had no idea what I was doing. There are a couple of people that I truly love. Billie Lee, I love her. I just think you all have to go see her stand-up show. She’s good.”
Wenberg’s decision to go public with her social media has sparked a wave of speculation and gossip among fans and critics alike. Does she know more about what went on with Tom Schwartz and Raquel Leviss behind closed doors so to speak?
As someone who has watched “Vanderpump Rules” from its inception, I find myself torn between curiosity and skepticism. On one hand, I am intrigued by the possibility that Wenberg could shed light on Schwartz’s behavior behind closed doors. On the other hand, I am wary of giving too much credence to rumors and hearsay.
Jo Wenberg’s decision to make her social media public has certainly stirred up controversy within the “Vanderpump Rules” fandom. However, it is essential for viewers to exercise caution when consuming information about their favorite reality TV stars.
Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules returns January 2024.
