Fans of this dystopian drama series have patiently waited for news of the final season. Well, the wait is finally over, here is all you need to know! We have the premiere date and the finale date; plus a clip of the trailer for the season.
The Handmaid’s Tale
Premiere night, April 8, 2025, will have three episodes. They will be followed by weekly drops until Finale night May 27, 2025. A fun fact about this series is: that it was filmed entirely in Southern Ontario Canada.
The whole series is based on the best-selling book by Canadian author Margaret Atwood.
Elisabeth Moss, who portrays June Osborne, states in the trailer for the final season states “They believe that these garments that they put on our bodies tell the world who we are. To mark us, they put us in red – the color of blood. They forgot it is also the color of rage. The dress became our uniform.”
Season 5 ended with the arrest of Commander Lawrence, while Serena and June both found themselves on a train trying to escape to Canada. Both ladies come face to face. Handmaid’s Tale Fans are left wondering if they can overcome their hate for each other in their journey to escape; or will their hate hinder their escape.
The synopsis for season six: “June’s unyielding spirit and determination pull her back into the fight to take down Gilead. This final highlights the importance of hope, courage, solidarity, and resilience in the pursuit of justice and freedom.”

The Handmaid’s Tale will air on Hulu, in Canada Crave will air the series. The final season will be one to watch for fans.
