On Wednesday Sam Asghari took the surprising step of filing for divorce from Britney Spears after only about fourteen months. The couple met on one of her videos in 2016 and became close over time. Sam was a big support to Britney during the fight over her conservatorship and her mental well-being. Shortly after winning the dismissal of Britney’s conservatorship, the couple married. Sam and Britney’s “inner circle” have been worried since February/March when talk circulated that the newlyweds were having marital problems.
Asghari 29 is a model, and a working actor is managed by BAC Talent; Britney 41 has more or less given up on touring and both of their reps have declined to comment at this time. In the meantime, Britney is not wasting any time in getting control of the situation, she announced on Instagram that she was interested in buying a horse. Her post excitedly read that “Buying a horse soon 🐴!!! So many options it’s kinda hard !!!” and added, “A horse called Sophie, and another called Roar 🐎??? I can’t make up my mind 🙈!!! Should I join the camaraderie and put a pink cowboy hat on 😜??? Either way I think I found my sweet spot with Roar 😘 !!!” she said.
Britney made no mention of Sam in her post as she sat atop of a beautiful horse on a beach. Comments were not allowed. This is Britney’s third marriage and there were great expectations for this couple as they talked about having a child and shortly after, dealing with a miscarriage. Asghari announced in November that he landed a role in a TV series “Lioness.”
In June 2021, Britney had a conservator court date via phone as she explained her mental status to the Judge. Britney described her feelings as “I’m not happy. I can’t sleep. I’m depressed. I cry every day,” Britney’s years under conservator control has been an alleged nightmare for her. Finally, there was a lawyer that would represent her and tell her what her rights were, apparently, she was unaware that she had any rights. During that time Sam Asghari was her “rock” as well as support from her 42 million followers on social media, demanding “#Free Britney” from the conservator status. Britney was finally released from the conservator status that her father controlled.
