TAR 37 Cast and new twist revealed

The Amazing Race 37 is set to premiere on CBS with a record number of teams. This year, 14 teams will start the race around the world for a one-million-dollar prize. This season will also reveal a new twist to hit the racers.

Billed as the ‘season of surprises, ‘ the 14 teams will include nurse anesthetists, lumberjacks, Las Vegas performers, and video game streamers. Fans and viewers will see the normal twists U-Turn and Fast Forwards in play, along with a ‘Fork In The Road’ twist.

The Fork In The Road Twist will be featured on premiere night in Hong Kong.

Having revealed where the first leg will take place; we can explain how this new twist will work. The Fork In The Road Twist will have the teams deciding which way to go to the Pit Stop. The last team from each route will be eliminated.

The teams will also have to perform with a taiko drum group, skydive over Dubai, and perform a traditional Bulgarian folk dance. Now let’s meet some of the teams we will be cheering or booing for this season.

Alyssa and Josiah Borden are nurse anesthetists from Philadelphia. They are married. Joining them in the race are Courtney Ramsey and Jasmin Carey, a dating couple from Leland, N.C. Ernest and Bridget Cato a father/daughter team from Chicago and Sommerville, Mass.

 TAR 37 More Hopefuls To Race

Brett Hamby and Mark Romain are a married couple from Las Vegas. Brett is an acrobat, while Mark is a dancer/model. Also racing with them will be Carson McCalley and Jack Dodge best friends from Brooklyn; both are game streamers.

Han and Holden Nguyen are a brother and sister team from Los Gatos, Calif. Holden is a Stratford student. While Jackye Clayton and Lauren McKinney are sisters hailing from Waco, Texas. Jonathan and Ana Towns are a married couple from Pomona, Calif.

Bernie Gutierrez and Carrigain Scadden are best friends, Bernie is a personal trainer;  Carrigain is a spa educator. They hail from Dallas and Denver. Also racing, Mark Crawford and Larry Graham are retired firefighters and best friends from Watertown and Barlett, Tenn.

Melinda and Erika Papadaes are a mother/daughter team from Chandler, Ariz., and Englewood, Colo.  While Nick and Mike Flo are brothers from Brooklyn both are podcasters. Jeff ‘Pops’ and Jeff Bailey, a father/son team of lumberjacks from St. Louis. Parents of 8 sons Scott and Lori Thompson from Salt Lake City are the last of our racers.

While The Amazing Race 37 is set to premiere next month, Sharon Tharp has confirmed some facts for TAR 38. Sharon took to X confirming that Big Brother alum, with their loved ones, will appear on season 38. Season 38 films start in March 2025.

The Amazing Race will air on CBS on March 5, 2025, 9:30 ET/PT. It will stream on Paramount Plus.
