The Road will Bring Blake Shelton Back On TV
Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone creator) and Blake are joining forces to create a new singing competition show. This show is called ‘The Road’. The Road will be like no other singing competition show airing now.
The Road
The concept of the show is to have contestants travelling the country touring with headlining artists. The contestants will open the shows for yet unnamed artists. Singers will compete to win over local fan bases to move on to the next town/city.
The show plans on showing contestants what it is like to be on tour.
Viewers will have a backstage pass into the touring life of an artist. They will see what happens as contestants pile into a tour bus. How they contend with the schedule of touring as they chase their dream of becoming the next big breakout singing star.
During the announcement of the new show ‘The Road’ Blake says “I’m a fan of Taylor’s incredible work, and I’m excited to team up with him. I know a thing or two about singing competition shows and chasing the singing dream and living life on tour.”
The Road Continues The Revolution Of Country Music
“There’s a revolution taking place in country music. Building a platform with him for the next leaders of that revolution is an exciting adventure.” Taylor states. The guys will join Lee Metzer and David Glasser as executive producers.
“No more shiny floors and studio audiences. This is where the rubber meets the road – literally. Get in the van, get to the next town and win over the crowd. Do it enough, and you become the next leader.” Sheridan says.
Fans of ‘The Voice‘ know him as the long standing coach. He was a coach for 23 consecutive seasons. He also starred in ‘The Barmageddon’. Recently he teamed up with Post Malone for the three week No.1 hit ‘Pour Me A Drink’.
Taylor Sheridan is not only known for his work on Yellowstone but also 1883 ( featuring Tim McGraw and Faith Hill); 1923; Mayor of Kingstown and The Last Country. ‘The Road’ is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Glasser’s 101 Studios and with Metzer and Blake’s Lucky Horseshoe Production.
David Glasser said this about ‘The Road’ “This project has been a labor of love for us that we have been talking about for sometime. I can’t thank CBS enough for supporting us in this journey.”
“The Road’ will air on CBS in the fall of 2025. Will you be tuning in to watch this new singing competition show?
