Rubina Bernabe talks showmance and friendship
As the shortest person in the house Rubina was by far one of the nicest and funniest there this season. One of her earliest statements concerning her height was “If trying to reach the top of the refrigerator was a competition I would win hands down.”

Makensy cast the only vote to evict 1-0
Becoming part of the showmance affectionately named ‘Tubina’, she became a target early on. During Quinn’s ‘Deep Fake HOH’ she became the target to weaken her showmance partner Tucker.
Her closest allies in the game flipped the vote that week, sending Cedric home instead. This move by T’Kor and Kimo cemented an alliance with her and Tucker. Once Tucker was evicted on T’Kor’s HOH the trio became closer.
Rubina won only one competition which again was a do or die for her. She saved herself in the last AI Arena competition. Although the trio never held power again in the game, they were seen as a voting block by the others.
Before heading to the jury house, she sat down to do a series of post eviction interviews. Here is some of what she had to say.
On Makensy winning the most important VETO of the season, Rubina knew she faced an uphill battle getting MJ to keep her. Suspecting Cam, Chelsie and MJ had an alliance; she hoped that MJ was true to having three women at the end.
Rubina Bernabe makes promises
She promised MJ that if she had to choose who to take at Final 3, she would take her to the Final 2 chairs. MJ did not budge, staying loyal to Cam and Chelsie her fate was more or less set in stone.
Not one to hold a grudge or be bitter, she told us ” I respect Makensy’s decision to stay loyal to those that she thinks are loyal to her. On Makensy telling her in her goodbye message that her resume was hard to beat, she told us the following:
“My mouth dropped when she said my resume was better than hers. She has 9 comp wins compared to my one AI Arena win. But she made me realize a resume is more than comp wins.”
Continuing “It’s about a lot of things; like how you handle stress in the house. I was on the block 5 times. I was in a showmance. She made me realize maybe I did have something going for me.”
On her friendship with T’Kor and Kimo, she realized that it painted a target on the three of them. She stated “Becoming friends in the BB House is not always a good thing, others see you as a unit not as an individual.”

Rubina talked about her showmance with Tucker. She stated that she came into the house not wanting a showmance. In fact she was trying to figure out how she could handle being in the house with a personality like Tucker.
Once getting past his loudness, she realized the type of caring person he was. Admitting resisting Tucker was harder said than done; in fact she couldn’t resist him. Once we realized we were having issues keeping it a secret from the others.
We were relieved when we no longer had to hide our feelings for each other from the rest of the house. As far as the future goes for ‘Tubina’ she is willing to let nature take its course and see what happens.
