The Anonymous meets The Traitors and The Circle
Reality Television junkies are waiting patiently for a brand new reality show to hit our screens. That’s right, The Anonymous is getting ready to premiere its first season.
The Anonymous
In recent years networks and streaming services are realizing viewers want reality shows with real people to appear on their screens. Some hit reality shows are ‘Ru Paul’s Drag Race’, ‘Deal or No Deal Island’, ‘The Challenge’, ‘Survivor’, ‘The Circle’, ‘The Traitors‘, and ‘Big Brother’ just to name a few.
The Anonymous will be a mixture of ‘The Traitors’ and ‘The Circle.
There will be in-person challenges and some virtual game play as well. Like all reality shows this show will draw players from other reality based shows for their first season.
3 such contestants will be Xavier E Prather ( The Challenge USA alum and winner Big Brother 23) , daughter of 2 time Survivor winner Sandra Diaz-Twine Nina Twine, as well as the breakout star from Netflix’s Frye Fest Andy King.
Andy King’s claim to viral fame was from his statement “I am fully prepared to preform oral sex in exchange for not paying Customs $175,000 for water bottles.” The Anonymous comes from the producers of The Traitors, The Circle and Squid Games: The Challenge.
The Anonymous will work like this
This is how this show will work. There will be 12 contestants who will manipulate and mislead their other contestants. They will try and be popular with the others in the ‘real world’. But in the ‘virtual world’ they will lie and backstab each other.
The virtual world is played in the Digital Anonymous Network Interface; affectionately known as DANI. Each contestant will have their own underground hideout. Here they will be able to say anything they want about their fellow contestants anonymously.
Every episode will have DANI conduct tests where they must try and match the secret handle to the real person. The player who best stays anonymous earns the power to eliminate the other players each week.
The player who stays unmasked to the end walks away with $100,000. The Anonymous will premiere with 3 episodes on August 19th 11 PM ET/PT on USA. All 3 episodes will air simultaneously across Bravo and SYFY on premiere night; and repeat daily during primetime hours on those networks.
