DONDI does it need reality celebs to survive?

DONDI ( Deal or No Deal Island) just finished airing season 1 a few mere months ago. Fans of the new reality competition show are left wondering if the show would survive without reality celebs.

Boston Rob, a reality celeb from Survivor and The Amazing Race, appeared on season 1.

He made it all the way to the Final 4. With a large fan base from reality TV Boston Rob made fans tune in weekly.

Fans openly admitted that had Boston Rob been eliminated from DONDI early ; they would not have watched the show to its very end. The show was very smart in leaving the cliffhanger in the episode leading up to its Finale. This ensured Survivor and Amazing Race fans would tune in to see Boston Rob’s fate.

If you missed season 1 of DONDI thinking it was just another spin off from an earlier hit game show, you would have been mistaken. Deal or No Deal Island has the contestants competing in some grilling challenges.

The object of the DONDI challenges

The object of the challenges winning  the highest case value to bring back and to gain control of who will risk elimination by facing the banker. The contestant picked to play against the banker had to decide when to accept a deal.. They were eliminated if their chosen case value was less than the offer they accepted.

Howie Mandel, the host of the original Deal or No Deal was the banker.  Joe Managaniello ( Spiderman) was the host of Deal or No Deal Island.

Reality TV fans love watching their reality celebs appear on other shows. Some think The Traitors is a big success because half the contestants are from reality television. DONDI does have a large pool of reality celebs to choose from.

Who wouldn’t love to see their favorite housewife, bachelor, bachelorette, survivor, big brother or for that matter any reality based show compete in some of the challenges.

Season 2 starts filming in July 2025, as of to date, we do not know if DONDI will follow in other reality based television shows by bringing some of our heroes or villains  to our small screens.
