Big Brother Canada on hiatus again!
Big Brother Canada is based on the reality show Big Brother US. The show puts 16 strangers in a house for 3 months, where they need to compete for Head of Household. The HOH has the power to nominate 2 house guests for eviction. The Power of Veto competition is held where one of the nominated house guests can earn safety from eviction.

Big Brother Canada provided access to the house guests through live feeds from 8 am to 2 am daily for the first 10 seasons. During season 11 Corus Entertainment and Insight Productions switched to Daily Digitals. This move upset diehard fans as these were cut versions of what went on in the house.
BBCAN won several International Awards for their creative designs on the house every season as well as some of the competitions the house guests competed in.
This is not the first time the powers-to-be made the decision to put Big Brother Canada on hiatus.
After season 6 of the reality show aired BBCAN was put on hiatus but the fans rallied sending in petitions from around Canada and the world for the return of the reality series. The show returned to our screens for season 7. Season 8 was cut short due to Covid 19 and the provincial lockdown. Seasons 9 and 10 played out with live feeds. Some fans have stated season 10 was the best season.
Season 11 introduced the Daily Digitals, which replaced the live feeds. These were seen by fans to be edited versions. There was also confusion of when they would be dropped every day. The Daily Digitals were shown Monday to Friday.
The next major issue that upset fans was the changing of the days the show aired, as well as the time slot Big Brother Canada aired. It is unsure whether the fans will rally behind the show to petition for its return.
