Since the US version of The Masked Singer has been appearing on Fox, Nicole Scherzinger, formerly a member of the pop music group Pussycat Dolls, has been on the judges’ panel.
Season 11 premiere showed a blonde singer wearing a masquerade mask singing while the host and judges were being introduced. Nicole Scherzinger was noticeably absent. When the blonde lady removed her mask it was British renowned singer, Rita Ora.
She has taken Nicole’s spot this season temporarily.
Nicole Scherzinger has another work commitment. What work could keep her away from Masked Singer? According to Yahoo News Nicole Scherzinger “took a step back from the program this season to star in a revival of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s “Sunset Boulevard” in London’s West End, ” we wish her luck.

According to PEOPLE magazine, “The concept of the program differs from other reality singing competitions, with celebrity contestants competing for the final prize. Each contestant is assigned a new persona and wears an elaborate costume associated with it to hide their true identity from the judges and audience. Still, small clues are given along the way to help make final guesses on who is the voice behind the mask.” They all are competing for the coveted golden mask trophy.
Good luck to Nicole and we will have to see if Rita s better at guessing the celebrities than Ken is.
