Reality TV: Peter Weber Reveals his Decision Concerning Dating Shows!

Former Bachelor Peter Weber recently revealed that he has learned to “stay away” from dating shows, admitting that they are “not my forte.” After his tumultuous journey on

The Bachelor and subsequent failed relationships, Weber seems to have finally come to terms with the fact that reality TV may not be the best platform for finding love.

It seems that the competition bug has finally made its mark on Peter Weber. The realization of his not being on dating shows would be far better for himself in the future. After being on The Traitors season 2, Peter feels he will fare better on competition shows. During a recent interview with PEOPLE, Peter revealed that love shows are not his forte. Peter said, “I think I have to stay away from the love shows. That’s not really my forte.

I’ve learned that. But any kind of competition show — Special Forces, Survivor — I would definitely look forward to a challenge like that. I would love to push myself and have the ability to see what I’m made of.” Peter showed the audiences of The Traitors what a competitor he can be. He took on the role of being in charge of the Faithfuls which led to him having them make some big moves. This led to the banishment of traitors Dan Gheesling and Parvati Shallow. and of course, he also made some enemies such as Traitor Phaedra Parks.

Parks told him during one of the round tables, “This is not The Bachelor and I don’t have to kiss your ass for a rose.” Peter did try to extend an apology to Phaedra during the reunion show. Peter said, “I was talking with the producer, I’m like, ‘Yeah, I should do that. Why not? It was [the] perfect way, I think, to kind to smooth everything over. And listen, I think Phaedra is incredible. Obviously, we got into it and had a heated battle, but it was all in the spirit of the game.” Weber said that he and Ms. Parks are “good now. I’m someone that takes a lot to kind get me brought up like that, and she definitely got me there, but it was just competitive juices flowing.”

Peter Weber said that the ending of the season made him emotional. He said, ” He was emotional from that whole ending” If you watched the show then you know that Chris CT Tamburello and Trishelle Cannatalla chose to banish one more time after they banished Kate Chastain who was the last traitor. Both CT and Trishelle are from The Challenge series. Instead of them ending the round they decided to banish the last remaining Faithful besides themselves. It was MJ Javid from the Shahs of Sunset who was banished leaving her without any of the prize money.

Peter did show that he had a cunning instinct that even surprised Host Alan Cummings. “Peter’s trajectory in the show is fascinating because it shows this whole theory that gamers from shows like Survivor and Big Brother and everything are going to be much more predisposed to be good in the show; that’s clearly not true. Peter being the cutesy Bachelor has kind of worked it all out and was really kind of strategizing in a really amazing way.”

Weber’s statement reflects a common sentiment among former reality TV stars who have struggled to maintain genuine connections in the spotlight. The pressure and scrutiny of being on a dating show can often lead to unrealistic expectations and strained relationships.

By acknowledging his limitations and choosing to step away from the world of dating shows, Weber is demonstrating a level of self-awareness and maturity. Perhaps this decision will ultimately lead him to find true love outside of the confines of reality television.
