The Traitors’ Team Workout Logistics
The Traitors U.S. and The Traitors UK are not only airing at the same time but they are using the same sets for their missions. Fans that are watching both series, are noticing some of the missions are exactly the same.
The Traitors’ Team
Mike Cotton and Sam Rees-Jones are both executive producers and the main part of The Traitors’ Team responsible for the logistics of the show. Mike Cotton explained why ‘The Funeral Missions’ were shown in the same week.
He stated ” The same location was used, so the missions were shared. This works out well for both NBC and the BBC who share a great working relationship. The money allotted to produce the show and the missions goes further.”
By leaving the sets up for both the US and the UK versions of the show, you could almost think of a Traitor’s Theme Park. Both versions are using the same castle . This castle has hundreds of acres of land, its own river, it’s on hills and even its own church.
This makes for the need for a good logistic team which it seems apparent that The Traitors have acquired. For instance, the scarecrow mission had over 200 scarecrows in a field on the castle ground.
The Cast
Moving the cast around from both versions so none of the cast sees any sets for future missions is accomplished by the excellent work of The Traitors’ Team and their detail to the logistics of the game.
The team also films each episode in a day. This helps to keep the cast’s heads in the game. Although it does add pressure to the cast and the production team; it makes great content.
The team has very little to do with the cast. As Sam Rees-Jones explains it “We set up the environment, lay out the rules to the cast, and let them play their own game. This way no one not even us know what will happen.”
The Traitors’ Team will not confirm or deny if the cast sleeps in the castle. The response they give is simple: “It is done like a military operation”. This adds intrigue to the fans watching. How do the cast not hear someone leaving a room at night?” This is a major question fans have.
Alan Cummings is not only the host and producer of the US version but also a fan of the show. Both Mike and Sam relate that Alan watches the cast on monitors in his room. He also sends countless messages to each of them about what the cast is saying and thinking.
Overall The Traitors‘ Team seems to be doing a great job of keeping the cast on their toes and the fans willing to tune in each week to see who gets banished and who gets murdered.
