Dan Gheesling and Janelle Pierzina met up again on The Traitors
Dan Gheesling and Janelle Pierzina are legends in the world of Big Brother. Both legends collided in Big Brother 14 where Dan played a major role in securing Janelle’s eviction that season.
Dan Gheesling
Dan walked away from reality television after playing just two seasons of Big Brother 10 and 14. One of his biggest strategic game moves was the planning of his own funeral. This move is still talked about today by fans, past houseguests and future houseguests alike.
Fans have wondered why Dan hasn’t appeared on Big Brother or any other reality show for awhile. Simply put he answers “I have a beautiful wife and 3 children. I don’t have the aspiration to host or do reality television.”
Why now and why The Traitors? Dan Gheesling stated “I recently turned 40. My wife asked me if I wanted a party. I told her no I wanted to compete on ‘The Traitors’.” He admitted that Big Brother is very taxing with no outside contact allowed.
With Peacock, according to Dan there are a lot of wellness programs in place. For instance during taping of ‘The Traitors’ the cast was able to call home to talk to family.
Dan’s children are a big part of his life, so BB is out of the question for him to make a return.
Janelle Pierzina
Julie Chen Moonves has called Janelle Pierzina ‘The Queen’ of Big Brother having stayed in the Big Brother House for more than 200 days. She is no stranger to reality television having also appeared on ‘The Amazing Race’ and ‘Snake In The Grass’.
Janelle is excited to play on ‘The Traitors’ stating “To play this game, come to Scotland and play it in a castle! I couldn’t say no.” Rachel Reilly, Big Brother Alum, as well as friends with Janelle encouraged her to play the game of Traitors.
Alan Cummings, host, is one of her all time favorite actors. Janelle states “‘Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion’ still is one of my all time favorite movies. I am a total 90’s girl and love the dance in the movie.”
Both Dan Gheesling and Janelle Pierzina are considered to be two of the biggest gamers playing this season. Let’s not forget there are also reality television personalities from The Challenge, Survivor and a few Real Housewives.
Janelle states “Some are here just to play the game, not the prize money.”
While Dan is looking forward to doing the competitions. He wonders if he still has the prowess to compete.
The Traitors premieres on Peacock January 12th, 2024.
