This was the last day for all couples on the Florida island resort to recommit to their relationships or their marriages. Did they? Spoiler alet! As for Ed and Liz, they have been engaged eleven times in the past few years.
This trip was a chance for healing and therapy, both past life and even Kama Sutra.
Lessons for the couples to determine if they will stay together or if their problems are too insurmountable.
Liz’s problem with Ed among other things is that he doesn’t listen to her and that he jokes too much when he should be more serious in some situations.
“Big” Ed couldn’t help himself and admitted to not being able to help himself to be the joker when he stood before Liz in their recommitment ceremony and said, “So I want you to know how truly lucky you are to have found such a beautiful catch,” as he praised himself. Liz was not happy with what should have been a serious and loving introduction. He then shifted gears and said, “You are one of the kindest, warmest, and loving women, mom and fiancée,” and “You make me want to strive to be a better man. You’re making me a better son, a better father, and a better partner.” Finally, Ed was serious and admitted “You have never, ever given up on us. ever”
Ed also mentioned Liz’s daughter saying, “I will cherish you and your daughter Ry forever,” Afterwards Ed got down on one knee and said, “And I want to ask you for the very last time, will you marry me?”
Liz was not ready to answer the question yet before she was able to speak her peace. Liz revealed that she does love Ed and is willing to marry him and make the big move with him out west to start their new lives together. Hopefully, he will take the therapy given to him and as a couple seriously.
They are both hopeful that it will. Liz seemed unsure throughout the storyline that Ed would be able to change for the better. Liz brought along a ring that she bought for him over one year ago and ended up presenting it to him at the ceremony. Ed was pleasantly surprised and put the ring on his finger. Their decision to stay together was a surprise to most but a happy ending to all. Hopefully, it can all work out, Liz 31 really seems to love Ed 58. Good luck to the happy couple.
