Jax Taylor, the controversial reality TV star known for his appearances on Vanderpump Rules, recently made headlines when he expressed his desire to be a guest on Tom Sandoval’s podcast.
This surprising revelation comes after Taylor publicly criticized Sandoval’s announcement of the podcast as “distasteful.” These two are still Two Peas In A Pod(cast).
Jax was recently interviewed by Page Six he tells them that he’ll be on Tom’s podcast one day in the future even showing his disgust for what Tom said about “Everybody loves Tom.” Jax tells Page Six, “I’m sure one day I’ll be on it. He made sure that everyone knew that he was not on board with Tom launching his podcast.
It happened on the day that Ariana Madix was to appear on Dancing With The Stars. Jax said, “I think he should definitely have a podcast. He needs an outlet. There’s a way to do it, though. I think maybe waiting a couple of days ’til after the show came out probably would’ve been a little bit better. I think that was a little bit distasteful. But other than that, like I said, he’s learning, he’s trying to reinvent himself.”
In the wake of Tom and Ariana’s breakup and scandal that followed Jax had extended the olive branch and wanted to help Tom in any way he could. At the time Tom was facing backlash from the public for his indiscretions and on his podcast “Everybody Loves Tom” he claimed it had forced him to contemplate suicide.
Jax is not supportive of what Tom does but he feels that Tom needed someone to be there for him. “I’m not saying I support what he does, but when the whole world is coming down on you, the last thing he needs is Jax Taylor to come down on him too.
I just felt like kind of taking the high road on this one and saying, ‘Listen, if you need something, I’m here.’ I know what he did was wrong. Everybody makes mistakes but I’ve been friends with this guy for 20 years … I think he’s learned his lesson and I think he’s moving on.”
Tom recently was part of Fox’s show Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. He posted to Instagram 10 weeks ago about his experience on the show. He commented alongside a photo of himself on the set of the show, “It was such an honor to be a part of this amazing experience.
I was pushed physically, mentally, and emotionally beyond what I thought I was capable of. An ass-kicking like this was just what I needed at this time in my life. I met some really amazing people along the way. Excited for you all to see everyone’s journey on Season 2 of Special Forces!
Jax said also that Tom has not been absolved of the fact that he is a “villain” since he betrayed Ariana. Jax said, “[He’s] probably one of … the biggest villains [in the] TV world right now.” Jax has even gone as far as encouraging Tom to be on a potential second season of House of Villains. “Season 2, he will definitely do well on the show.” Jax feels that he is a “reformed villain” after winning at battling his own demons.
Taylor will be appearing on season 1 of House of Villains alongside, Omarosa Manigault Newman (“The Apprentice”) Tiffany “New York” Pollard (“Flavor of Love”), Corinne Olympios (“The Bachelor”), Jonny Fairplay (“Survivor”), Tanisha Thomas (“Bad Girls Club”), Bobby Lytes (“Love & Hip Hop: Miami”), Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzi (“The Challenge”), Anfisa Arkhipchenko (“90 Day Fiancé”) and Shake Chatterjee (“Love Is Blind”).
They all will be trying to scheme their way to winning the $200,000 prize money.
The irony of Taylor’s statement is hard to ignore. Just weeks ago, he took to social media to condemn Sandoval for what he deemed an inappropriate way of promoting his new venture. However, it seems that Taylor has had a change of heart and now wants to be a part of it.
