Tammy Slaton has been working very hard on losing the weight that is saving her life. Tammy has had drastic weight loss after bariatric surgery and has had to use constant oxygen to keep her alive. By the way, Tammy is now wearing blue jeans and is at a doable weight at this time but she still has more to lose before she is at her goal weight.
With all of the good also comes bad news, Tammy’s husband of less than a year died in July 2023. The couple met at rehab while Caleb Willingham was being treated for obesity and Tammy was preparing for her gastric bypass surgery. They married in November 2022 and by July Caleb was gone, no reason for his death was given.
Tammy posted on social media “Rip sweet angel you will forever be missed and loved so much thank you Caleb for showing me real love and happiness.”
Since Caleb’s passing, Tammy has been posting more selfies of her weight loss and it is dramatic to see the new Tammy. She opted to stop using the oxygen and her doctor agreed. Now Tammy, 37, uses oxygen only with a bi-pap machine as she sleeps. She also posted some pictures on Instagram focusing on her “cooking skills” and saying “Even though I can’t eat much, it doesn’t mean my family shouldn’t eat good and I’m finally able to show off my cooking skills just cool [sic] me chef TT or chef TamTam lol 😂,” Good for you Tammy! You look great!

It’s been a long road for Tammy especially after having a near-death experience afterwards and being put into a medically induced coma. A tracheostomy surgery was performed with a breathing tube inserted to help with her labored breathing. Tammy said recently “I’m thankful to be alive, and it’s fun to be progressing as much as I am,” There is a way to go yet but Tammy is now healthy enough to make it to the end. Her fans keep her positive and uplift her spirits every time she posts her progress. Good luck Tammy, keep going, you are almost there.
