In the world of reality television, relationships are often put under a microscope for the entertainment of millions. One such relationship that has recently made headlines is that of “90 Day Fiancé” stars Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa. In a shocking turn of events, Kalani has expressed her desire to end their marriage, stating that it would be better for their children.
It looks like Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa’s marriage may be coming to an end.
On the latest episode of 90 Day Fiance: The Last Resort we learn that Kalani asks Asuelu for a divorce. She even admits that Hall Pass Guy paid her a visit in Key West while she and Asuelu were at the resort trying to repair their broken relationship. Kalani shared that her husband had been cheating on her throughout their marriage and before they were married. She also claims that this occurred at least 12 times.
If you have been watching the show then you know that Asuelu after having a fling, gave Kalani a hall pass so she could kiss another man. She also had sex with him and stayed in contact with Dallas. She has since supposedly blocked Dallas once she went to the retreat to repair her relationship with her husband. She did catch Asuelu deleting messages off his phone during the retreat. Kalanai has since unblocked Dallas and confirmed she reconnected with him and had sex during his last visit.
During Monday’s episode, we watched as Kalani spoke about and confessed everything to Asuelu during an unscheduled therapy session. Kalani tells him that it’s “too late” to repair what has been done.
Kalani made it clear that she wants a divorce and we watched as Asuelu packs his bags but he does say he will help co-parent their two sons. The couple shared a hug after the therapy session.
Kalani speaks to the cameras and says, “The sooner we divorce, the better for the kids. There’s just nothing more that can be done. Like, I’ve given up, I just hope that he can deal with everything and move forward with all of us.”
In March of 2022, there were stories circulating that Kalani and Asuelu were going to break up after an episode of 90-Day Dairies aired. The couple were involved in an on-camera argument resulting in Asuelu blocking Kalani on social media. Then in June Asuelu claimed on social media that he was single. And even though there had not been an official statement from either one of them regarding their break up.
A few weeks ago Kalani claimed that Asuelu committed sexual assault on her and as a result, she became pregnant without her consent. She received Hate mail and death threats and rape threats all because of comments that were made on the show. Kalani let fans know that her son Oliver was a planned pregnancy even though fans thought she had gotten pregnant on a first-night date with Asuelu. And then the accusations about Asuelu came right after that. She claimed on Instagram, “I had a second baby because I was held down. He apologized for that, and the other times I was [sexually assaulted]– it’s recorded.”
The couple’s tumultuous relationship has been well-documented on the show, with frequent arguments and cultural clashes. However, it seems that the breaking point for Kalani came when Asuelu failed to prioritize their family’s needs over his own desires. This led her to believe that divorce was the only solution.
While some may argue that ending a marriage is never an easy decision, Kalani believes that it is in the best interest of their children. She argues that staying in an unhappy and unhealthy relationship would only create a toxic environment for them to grow up in. It is important to note that divorce can have long-lasting effects on children, but sometimes it is necessary for their overall well-being. In this case, Kalani believes that her children will be better off if she and Asuelu part ways.
