Recently, Shannon Beador, a cast member of the popular show “Real Housewives of Orange County,” found herself at the center of a storm after being accused of a DUI hit and run. The alleged incident has sparked intense reactions from fellow housewives who are no strangers to drama themselves.
Women from several of the Real Housewives franchise have spoken about Shannon’s incident.
On Monday Tamra Judge (RHOC) Cynthia Bailey (RHOA) and Teddi Mellencamp (RHOBH) shared their reaction on Tamra’s podcast “Two T’s in a Pod”, Tamra told the two women, “I’m literally shaking right now. I feel like I’m going to throw up. I don’t even know if it’s true, I talked to Shannon yesterday, and she didn’t say a word to me — nothing.” On Sunday there was a conference call for the cast members of “Tres Amigas “which includes Tamra, Vicki Gunvalson, and Shannon. Tamra felt that Shannon had been “extremely quiet.” She added that Shannon told her, “It’s been a rough couple of days,’ and that’s all she told me. I talked to her the day after this supposedly happened. That’s why I instantly thought it was a lie. This is life-changing. This is going to change her life.” She continued, “I feel bad for her. I’m just happy nobody got hurt.”
Cynthia Bailey was encouraging when she said “Shannon stay strong.” Teddi addressed the alleged DUI and urged listeners to avoid drinking while intoxicated. Teddi added, “There is no reason in this day and age to ever drink and drive. I will not even have one drink and get into the car because you don’t know how an alcoholic beverage is going to hit you.”
Real Housewife of Orange County Alum Braunwyn Windham-Burke spoke to Us Weekly and addressed Shannon’s arrest as a “catalyst for change.” She also said, “I know Shannon has a big heart and hope this can become her story where this is a moment when everything changed for the better. She also spoke about how Shannon had been “going through a hard time this year.” She also added, “Obviously, what happened is not OK. You should never drink and drive. It was a very unfortunate night for her, but fortunately, no one was hurt.”
