    • Houseguests backstabbing each other. Backstabbing is a common occurrence in the Big Brother house. Houseguests will often break promises and betray their allies in order to get ahead in the game. Backstabbing can be a risky strategy, but it can also be very rewarding.

The HOH has certain privileges in the house for the week, besides being able to place two houseguests on the block for eviction, they also get their own private bedroom and bathroom. During their rein, the HOH is able to get photos and letters from home and a goodie basket with their favorite food and drinks, an HOH Bathrobe and the ability to not have to eat slop for the week.
    • Slop: From time to time, houseguests are only allowed to eat slop for the week. Slop is a bland, oatmeal-like mixture that is made of oats, water, unflavored whey protein, unflavored soy protein, and vitamin and mineral powder. Slop is designed to be unappealing and provide minimal sustenance. It is a punishment for losing competitions. It is a way to test the houseguests’ endurance and willpower. It is a way to create drama and excitement in the house. It is a way to level the playing field between the Have-Nots and the Haves. It is a reminder that Big Brother is a game of survival.
    • The houseguests vote to evict one of their own each week.
    • Houseguests who are selected for eviction by the Head of Household can be saved by the Powe of Veto.


    • Power of Veto Competition: Houseguests compete to win the Power of Veto. The Power of Veto allows a houseguest to remove themselves or another houseguest from the block. This competition is a crucial one in the game, as it can change the course of the week.
    • The most popular competitions in Big Brother are 1) OTEV where Houseguests must match clues to their fellow houseguests. The first houseguest to answer all of their clues correctly wins. This competition is a test of knowledge, memory, and speed; Wall Competition where Houseguests must hold onto a wall for as long as possible. The last houseguest standing wins. This competition is a classic test of endurance and willpower; Dizzy Discs where Houseguests must stand on spinning discs while being hit by a giant animatronic hand. The last houseguest standing wins.
    • The producers of the show are always coming up with new and creative challenges to keep viewers entertained. The competitions are a big part of what makes Big Brother such an exciting and unpredictable show.
    • The final two houseguests compete in a Head of Household competition. The winner of the competition chooses the other houseguest to evict.

    • Big Brother has live feeds 24/7 from the cameras inside the house. The people that watch them are called “Live Feeders” and usually report and publish all of the happenings inside the house or people not read.
