Paul Staehle has been found in Brazil after being reported missing. Yesterday, September 7, Paul 40, made some public comments and said “Well, I had a lot going on and I wanted to go out and be by myself for a little bit,” and continued, “So there was a person that was a big fan of the show. They invited me to go out and I got this canoe-type boat.”
He went on to explain that the two of them had a “hiccup” and then fixed the problem and continued to a “floating house” and remained there for a few days. Staehle added that without a phone charger, he traveled to another house to get a clear signal.
“I had no idea that my mom would start talking to people online and all that stuff.”
His mom Edna was very worried about “alarming texts” that she received from Paul and then never responded as she tried to reach out.
Paul Staehle and his wife Karine Martins first met online in 2017 and married soon after. They share two young sons together and have had an up-and-down, back-and-forth marital relationship. Karine came to the United States briefly and then returned to her hometown in Brazil with their boys.
In July 2022, a Brazilian child welfare agency became involved after Karine reported that their oldest son, 4 years old at the time, was missing along with his father Paul. Paul let it be known afterward that the pair went on a long work trip and that he had sole custody of both children.
The couple has separated at least four times in their short marriage. Karine eventually filed for divorce, but as of April 2023, they had reconciled again. That brings us to September 2023, We are unsure at this time what their status of reconciliation is, especially because of Paul’s missing person report and what happened after he returned home.
During his recent absence, Karine posted a tribute to Paul about her feelings for him and what a good father he has been. Some fans believed that Paul had died although, Karine never confirmed that, but why post a tribute? Now that we know that Paul is alive and well and has made a public statement.
What does their future bring? Will Paul go back to Kentucky or stay in Brazil? Who will have custody of their children? So many questions surround this sad situation. Hopefully, it will all come out in the wash, and they can support their sons healthily and happily. Stay tuned.
