Tough As Nails finished their 5th season on Friday August 7th 2023. This season set 2 first for the reality show. It was filmed outside of the United States for the first time. They allowed Canadians to compete.
Hamilton, Ontario, Canada affectionately known as ‘The Hammer’ or ‘Steel Town’ by its residents.
Tough As Nails contestants compete as individuals as well as teams. The teams are Dirty Hands and Savage Crew. This year Dirty Hands won the team competitions. Each team competition the winning team gets $12,000 US divided up among the 6 team members. The winning team gets a bonus of $60,000 US dollars.
What makes this reality show different is even if you punch out on the individual competitions you can still win money on the team competitions. In other words you stay to compete.
The final 3 were Todd Anderson, Kenji Ngo and Ben Dempsey. 5 Canadians join the cast but Ben was the only Canadian to make it to Final 3.
After a grueling day of competitions Ben Dempsey became the Tough As Nails Season 5 champion and the first Canadian to win the title. Ben won $250,000 USD, a brand new truck plus the title.
