Lisa Marie Presley died on January 12 at the young age of 54 from what was first perceived as cardiac arrest. Yesterday the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner released new information on what Ms. Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley died of.
This new report reveals that what happened is that Lisa Marie had a bowel obstruction due to previous bariatric surgery for weight loss that was performed several years ago. Per the Mayo Clinic, this is a common occurrence from this type of surgery, and it was reported that Lisa Marie complained of stomach pains that day.
The original 911 call that came in on the day of January 12 had responders going to the home of a female caller claiming that Presley had a heart attack in her home. Lisa Marie Presley died at an L.A. Hospital shortly afterward and was buried at Graceland on January 22, 2023. She leaves behind three children actress Riley 34 and twin girls Harper and Finley 15.
Until now, the public believed that Presley had died of cardiac arrest, and many wondered how and why.
