On Instagram, on July 18th Ashley said, “Tonight didn’t go as planned. Around 1 AM I put my at-home fetal Doppler on baby Noa to check her heart rate. I watched for about 5 min and noticed her heart rate dipping to 78-98 BPM and twice it shot up over 200 BPM. I called labor and delivery and my doctor said to come in for more monitoring to be safe. It could be an operator error (It was just a little monitor I bought online, nothing special so who knew if it was accurate.) Upon arriving at the hospital we hooked me up and everything was looking great. About 30-40 min into monitoring her, we couldn’t find her heartbeat. It was terrifying. We finally found her heart rate and it became stable again. My doctor was unknowingly on call tonight, thank goodness. She did so good on her Non-stress test earlier today, who would have thought that she would have taken a turn tonight. My doctor has decided to take baby Noa tonight Via C-Section. At this point, she will be safer out here as my body doesn’t seem to be a conducive environment for her anymore. We are waiting now and preparing for the procedure. Please pray, please please pray.”
Then on Instagram, the morning of July 19th, Ashley said, “That moment when your baby is alive and safe and you see her for the first time. Can’t wait to share the story. For those who are praying, we feel it. It was so scary watching her heart on the monitor and realizing how much stress she was under. She’s in the NICU now. I promise I will provide updates, I’m just recovering from this C-Section as well. I love you all. I love you all so much. Please keep praying. I just want to hold my baby, but I know she’s getting the care she desperately needs right now.”
