Big Brother US has been on the air for 24 seasons with the 25th season starting next week. BB has become a summer obsession for millions of fans every year.
Julie Chen Moonves has been the host of the show since the beginning. On the 25 th Anniversary show Julie did admit that she was not the first choice to host. She also admitted that at first, she turned the job down.
Former houseguests and fans alike state Big Brother would not be the same without her at the helm. She has hosted 855 episodes over the years. She has interviewed over 300 houseguests.
Big Brother has brought us some great alliances. Chilltown, Hit Men, Quack Pack and The Cookout. There were also some unforgettable houseguests that fans either loved or loved to hate.
Who remembers Dr. Will, Mike Boogie, Dan Ghisling, Rachel Reilly Frankie Grande;this list can go on and on. All these houseguests helped make Big Brother the obsession that it has become.
Fans tune in for the twists like Secret Partners, and Exes. Identical Twins the list here goes on and on. Then there were the comps, the longest comp was the Pressure Cooker which lasted 14 hours Fans really liked the food comps, some wishing they would bring them back.
For the first 6 seasons there was no SLOP but the houseguests were punished by only having PB&J to eat. Although most houseguests did not enjoy the slop some admitted that it was a good way to lose weight.
Although this is just a quick summary of what was discussed on the Big Brother 25th Anniversary Special fans will be tuning in on August 2nd as 16 houseguests move in. This fan for sure can’t wait to see the drama unfold.
